I’ve talked to people who are most productive in the early hours of the morning (2am sorta stuff), and others who wake up at 7am and work from then on. I used to think that I was more productive in the evening, that was until I tried waking up earlier and working on my projects then. I was amazed.
I think sometimes it’s important that we experiment, after all, not everyone is the same. There isn’t really a secret formula for productivity. It’s one of those things that you have to play around with and see what fits.
This is a short post, but I’m curious. When are you most productive? Leave a comment!

Aha, I totally used to think I was a 2 am person, but that’s all changed. I now get up at 5.30 (I need to cut that back to 5, will likely do that when it’s lighter in summer), and wow, it’s awesome!
The thought of getting up early used to be horrific to me, but ever since I jumped on the steep slope of a better philosophy it just seems like it’s the way to go
5:30! Nice man. I personally get up between 6:30-7, but I may experiment with earlier times in the future. Right now I’m going to sleep about 12 so it’s a good time to wake up.
I’m the same! I actually love getting up early now, it’s amazing how your mindset can change things
I would say I’m probably most productive in the morning. even though I’m not much of a morning person I really need to start getting up earlier – I’d like to try getting up at 5 am and see how much I can accomplish before noon.
I get a lot done throughout my day regardless but, the prospect of having my afternoons free sounds great!
I find sometimes that I get a lot done in the morning and then after noon I’m really unproductive, so I’m not sure whether I should stretch my work out more or just try work through the whole day.
Thanks for the comment!
I am more productive the night after the kids go to bed.
I guess you’d have a lot less distractions at that time! That’s cool
I work best at night. This I know since I was young. I work night shift too. So my schedule can’t be changed. I tried many times to wake early and that’s no problem for me. I tried getting up at 5 or 6 or 7. It didn’t work for me. I get a lot done around 7pm on wards. I’m learning time management.
Hi Dianne,
That’s pretty cool, you’re one of the few I believe. Time management is very valuable to learn!
Thanks for the comment.
